COUNTIED SERVED

Alexander Sendlak is a family law attorney and Managing Partner at Dolci Weiland & Sendlak in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. He focuses his practice on divorce, child custody, child support, spousal maintenance, and parental rights for clients throughout DuPage, Will, Kane, Kendall, and Cook counties.

Alexander brings a perspective most family lawyers don’t have: he spent nearly seven years as a prosecutor at the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office before turning to family law in 2014. That trial background means he reads a courtroom quickly, prepares every case as if it will be tried, and negotiates from a position of genuine strength — while keeping the focus on what matters most to his clients, their children and their financial future.

How Alexander helps Illinois residents

Contested and uncontested divorce, asset division, alimony and post-decree modifications.

Parenting time, allocation of responsibilities and custody modifications.

Support orders, maintenance, and adjustments after a change in circumstances.

Establishing paternity, guardianship, and relocation (removal) cases.

Marital and non-marital property classification, division of assets and debt on divorce, maintenance (alimony) including waiver, disposition of property on death, business interests, retirement accounts, inheritances, and choice-of-law provisions.

Division of marital property and classification of separate property, including real estate, investment accounts, vehicles, and personal possessions.

What my clients say

I had been through two other lawyers and my divorce kept dragging on and my legal bills kept growing. I am very grateful that my friend recommended me to Dolci Weiland & Sendlak . I met with Dominick and Alex and immediately felt like I had found the right lawyers. They seemed knowledgeable and concerned about my case. They resolved it in an expeditious manner. They were much more responsive to my phone calls and emails than my previous lawyers. Good guys. Fair and efficient. I highly recommend them.

I was going through a rough divorce with a previous attorney who I was just not feeling comfortable with. I met with Alex Sendlak and his partner dominick Dolci and I immediately knew I wanted to hire these guys as my lawyers. They made me feel like everything was under control and would be fine. It turned out they were right. I gained custody of my kids and they made sure I received a fair settlement from my ex. Mostly I just feel relieved and happy to be divorced and know that I and my kids will be just fine. Thank you guys!

Divorce

In my experience Alex is a very good divorce attorney. Always professional, always called after court, and ultimately save me a lot of money in my divorce. I would recommend Alex and his law firm to anyone facing a complicated divorce.

I had an oportunity to observe Alex’ s condunct in and out of courtroomon on several ocassions. After being reminded of professional standards, he showed character (stopped using half truths in favor of his clients) and basic respect to the other, self represented, party (better communication, avoiding further representation in another cases involving the same lirigants) . It is acknowledged and appreciated. Attorneys with character are what we need to see for real social justice. Less privileges, more integrity and honesty.
