COUNTIED SERVED

Pat Weiland is a criminal defense attorney and Managing Partner at Dolci Weiland & Sendlak in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. He defends clients against DUI, drug, white-collar, and violent-crime charges throughout DuPage, Will, Kane, Kendall, and Cook counties.

Before defending the accused, Pat spent nearly ten years prosecuting them. At the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office he handled more than 10,000 DUI cases as a misdemeanor prosecutor, then spent six years trying felonies — complex white-collar matters and violent crimes up to first-degree murder — eventually supervising the felony trial division. He knows how the State investigates, charges, and tries a case, and he uses that insight to find the weaknesses in the case against you.

Criminal Defense

I hired Patrick and Dominick in September 2013 after a second DUI charge. I thought my life was over, Dupage county and Lombard didn’t really have their stuff together and they found holes in the arrest in the night in question. After a year in a half of continuances Patrick and Dominick got the case dismissed. But Dupage decided to re-file and charge with the 6 charges again. This took another 6 months almost 2 years of dealing with this. July 17, 2015 the bench trial finally comes I get my date in court again. Dominick just torn apart the arresting officer and made her, the Lombard police department, and DuPage look dumb is putting it nicely. On the grounds of independent recall a term used to dismiss my case and no conviction and no re-filing or recharging me ever. Walked out with tears of happiness and joy. Thank you Patrick and Dominick anybody that has a DUI hire this two it was money well spent.

DUI

My DUI caused me tremendous worry and anxiety. Finding the right lawyer was stressful. I was lucky to select Dolci & Weiland as my law firm. Mr. Weiland made me feel extremely comfortable with his knowledge of the DUI process and what I could expect in court. After listening to the facts of my case, he assured me that I would not only survive the process, but, that in all likelihood, I would never have a DUI on my record. Within just a few court dates, I was thrilled when he told me that my case had been dismissed. I would 100% recommend Dolci & Weiland for your DuPage DUI case.

When Does a DUI Result in a Life Prison Sentence?

November 13, 2019

Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is serious. A first-time DUI offense may not seem comparatively too consequential, but a second one or third one can add up and lead to heightened penalties. To make matters worse, if you were allegedly driving under the influence and then get into a car accident and someone is injured or die – you

The New York Times Confirmed It: Alcohol Breath Tests Aren’t Reliable

November 11, 2019

The New York Times just published a thorough review of what experienced DUI defense attorneys have already known in Illinois and throughout the United States: breath tests don’t work. They aren’t reliable. They produce inaccurate results. They shouldn’t be used as evidence. But what’s worse: the New York Times uncovered rampant and extensive coverup of just how

Is Assault and Battery the Same Thing?

October 28, 2019

You hear people say it all the time: assault and battery. It’s as though they two things is one term, and, as such, one charge.  But they aren’t. Assault is a separate charge from battery. You can be charged with both simultaneously or you may be charged with only one. Here’s an overview of the difference between these

How Illinois DUI Arrests are Different than Other Criminal Arrests

October 23, 2019

An arrest for any criminal activity in Illinois may make people suspicious of whether you actually committed the offense or not, but in Illinois as elsewhere in the United States: you are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. That means, or is supposed to mean, you cannot be punished until you either plead guilty or
